Entertainment at the 2015 National Banana Pudding Festival!
American Idol Teen! Rock Music Legend! Award Winning Puppets! County Favorites! And much more…NBPF entertainment roster will showcase local groups that top the charts and national artists making the news.
Once again the National Banana Pudding Festival will outdo itself with the range of outstanding performers to be featured Saturday October 3rd and Sunday October 4th at River Park in Centerville, TN.
On Saturday the main stage will feature our favorite group, the Flat Rascals. Members of this band have passion and talent to fill any stage. They keep our audiences hopping every time we bring them on to perform. They will be on at 10:45am and 12:30pm.
Band Angelica is a family group that has won awards for their performance style and creativity. We can’t get enough of this trio’s talent, who also perform as Amos’ Bluegrass Band. They dazzle with traditional tunes and then present the audience with original compositions that stir the soul. The crowds will see them on Saturday at 1:45 and 4:45 as well as on Sunday at 2:30pm and 4:45pm.
New to our Main Stage is a band called Station Joe. Down to earth performers save the spectacle for the moment they touch their instruments. The play music from Credence Clearwater Revival, Leg Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, The Black Crows, and Waylon Jennings. With soulful vocals from Jeremy Cross, this band will rock on Saturday at 3:15pm.
For the young whipper snappers and those enjoying their fill of banana pudding, we are setting up a new stage for special family performers this year at the voting tent…Stevareno, the Mediocre Magician will “almost” amaze the audience at 12:00 noon and keep them laughing till they jiggle. That will be followed at 1:00pm by Mr. Rich, the Super Science Guy and again at 3:00 with astounding feats of science. The Wood & Strings larger-than-life critters will sing and dance at 2:00pm with Escape from the Zoo.
Terri McKeel Taekwondo DemoTeam will perform at the Farmer’s Market Stage at 4:00pm. All young participants will show their skills in the martial arts.
The Sunday line up brings in the national performers. You need to see “A Day at the Farm” with Farmer Jason, an Emmy Award winning children’s entertainer. He just performed in April at the Kennedy Center! His following among the junior set is as huge as his following when he was rock music legend, Jason Ringenberg of Jason and the Scorchers. Lively, outrageous, and just plain fun…Farmer Jason will not let you keep your seat for long. See him at the Farmer’s Market Stage Oct. 4, at 1:00 and 2:45.
Hillary Bevels and her Band will set the tone for country music and dance at its best. Traditional fiddle player and award winning clogger and contra dancer, Hillary will charm your socks off and set your toes at tapping. On the Main stage at 12:00 she will open with a bang, and a square dance session at the Farmer’s Market at 1:45 will be a kicker!
Are you a teen? Are you an American Idol fan? NBPF will fit your bill with Riley Bria and his band. At 16 he played guitar with Keith Urban at the American Country Awards. This past year…American Idol…and he was one of the Top 12 Semi-Finalists all under 18 years of age…! He is made for the stage and the bright lights. Come out to sample his wares.
Two spectacular days of entertainment…country traditions (Backwoods Ramblin’ by Wood & Strings Puppets on Sunday), rock and roll to shake the rafters, a showcase of extraordinary talent right from our home town for the visitors to admire, that and the best banana pudding in the nation…what more could a body want? Come on Down!!!
